Liverpool are considering whether to sell Joel Matip at the end of the season, according to reports in England.
The 31-year-old’s contract expires in 2024 and next summer will be the last chance to make some money from a potential sale.
With the Reds needing to raise cash for a massive squad overhaul, fans on Twitter would back Matip leaving Anfield, although some are questioning who would pay a substantial fee to sign the defender:
Absolutely, every penny towards Gvardiol

As a few supporters have mentioned, Liverpool have been linked with RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol in recent days, and he would certainly be an excellent replacement for Matip.
However, the Croatian could cost close to £100m, while competition for his signature is expected to be fierce, with Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham having all been suggested as potential suitors.
When it comes to Matip, his poor form, injury record and age may make it hard to sell him on but there are bound to be a few clubs interested in his services.
