As things stand, the Spaniard has a buyout fee of €90m (£79m), which is an extremely high number, but as we have already mentioned, his contract situation may force Valencia into selling for a lot less.

Considering Liverpool like signing players who represent good value (see Takumi Minamino), a move for Torres does seem to be a likely prospect, especially due to his age and the position(s) he plays.
