Liverpool supporters were very impressed by Brentford forward Ivan Toney’s performance in the 3-3 draw against the Reds on Saturday evening.
The 25-year-old dominated both Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk in the air, leading some fans on Twitter to compare him to former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba:

Exactly the type of forward we’re missing. Strong and pretty tall. Could be useful in games like the one against Chelsea, so yes!

For the right price yes, started well in the Premier league, bullied our defence least game, scores and gets assists

Like Drogba, Toney is a later developer, having struggled during loan spells away from Newcastle in the lower leagues before making his name at both Peterborough United and Brentford.
Teams such as West Ham and Arsenal have been mentioned as potential suitors for the player in recent months, but his performances for Brentford this season will also lead to other clubs taking a keen interest in him.
Whether Liverpool would actually make a move for Toney, it does seem unlikely. While he is pretty mobile, Klopp doesn’t usually favour tall forwards, and the fact that he is English may add £20m to £30m to his price tag.
