Latest Liverpool Injury News: Updates On Robertson, Konate And Five Other Players

Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson is expected to be back in training after the international break.

The 28-year-old suffered a knee injury in the closing minutes of the defeat to Napoli earlier this month and he was not available for the match versus Ajax. It is still not clear whether he will be ready to face Brighton this weekend.

Ibrahima Konate has also struggled with a knee issue, which has prevented him from playing since the beginning of August. He is scheduled to return to training soon but it would be a surprise if he features in the game against the Seagulls.

Both Naby Keita (muscular) and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (hamstring) are not expected to play until mid-October, with manager Jurgen Klopp explaining that their injuries led to them being omitted from the Champions League squad.

Caoimhin Kelleher was not selected for the Republic of Ireland’s games against Scotland and Armenia which suggests he is still struggling with a groin problem that has kept him out since the last international break in June.

Curtis Jones (leg) and Calvin Ramsay (back) remain on the sidelines but there is optimism that both will be available for selection again in the coming weeks.
