Liverpool Target (Who Has Been Hailed By Gerrard And Henderson) Could Be Given £132M Release Clause

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham will be given a €150m (£132m) release clause if he agrees to sign a contract extension, according to reports in the German media.

The likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid have been touted as potential suitors for the 19-year-old.

However, Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl is keen to keep hold of Bellingham for at least one more year, and he would be willing to hand the player a £13m a year contract, with a buyout fee that can be triggered in 2024.

The Bundesliga club are desperate to retain the services of the teenager, who has been praised by both current Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson and club legend Steven Gerrard in recent days.

A meeting between Bellingham, his father and Dortmund is expected to be held so the proposal can be discussed but, whether the England international would be open to signing a new deal, it is debatable.

The smart money is still on Bellingham leaving this summer. Real Madrid are the favourites to snap him up currently, but City and Liverpool are also optimistic about their chances.
