Liverpool are keeping tabs on Bayern Munich pair Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sane, according to TZ.
The German publication claims there is “strong interest” in Musiala in particular, who is being eyed as a replacement for Mo Salah, with Sane also on the “list”. They do emphasise, however, that neither player is considering leaving the Allianz Arena at this stage.
Fans on X have been debating whether Musiala or Sane would be the right target if Salah does depart Anfield:

Musiala is a no. 10 though. This doesn't make sense.

I love Jamal as a player, but he's not a RW and we dont exactly need another LW/AM. So why are we linked with him so much lately

Salah is irreplaceable

Musiala is an outstanding talent but he has plenty of suitors
It is not a surprise that the Reds are tracking the German international but, as journalist Fabrizio Romano mentioned in a report earlier this week, the chances of securing his services are slim at the moment.
Not only would he cost over £100m, but the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and a whole host of other teams will be pursuing his signature if he becomes available.
Sane may be a more realistic target but there are question marks
While the former Manchester City player possesses the right characteristics to replace Salah (he is pacey and left-footed), he is already 27 years of age.
You do feel that Liverpool would prefer to sign someone much younger in order to ensure that they have a long-term successor for Salah.
