Liverpool’s 2021/22 Fixture List: When And Where Do Klopp’s Men Take On Their Top Six Rivals?

Liverpool’s fixtures for the 2021/22 Premier League campaign were released today and they have been given a relatively straightforward start to the season.

They only face one other ‘top six’ contender in the first couple of months of the season, playing Chelsea at Anfield at the end of August:

28/8/2021 – Chelsea (h)

The rest of the Reds’ big matches are pretty spread out. They have two games against the Manchester clubs in October, with Arsenal after the international break in November, followed by the Merseyside derby. They play Tottenham and Leicester for the first time near the end of the year:

2/10/2021 – Manchester City (h)
23/10/2021 – Manchester United (a)
20/11/2021 – Arsenal (h)
30/11/2021 – Everton (a)
18/12/2021 – Tottenham (a)
28/12/2021 – Leicester City (a)

As we head into 2022, the games against the most high-profile teams are also very evenly spread across a number of months. The away game at Stamford Bridge on New Year’s Day will be a challenge and they face City at the start of April:

1/1/2022 – Chelsea (a)
9/2/2022 – Leicester (h)
26/2/2022 – Arsenal (a)
19/3/2022 – Manchester United (h)
9/4/2022 – Manchester City (a)
23/4/2022 – Everton (h)
7/5/2022 – Tottenham (h)

Some of these dates will be changed due to television coverage but, all in all, manager Jurgen Klopp will be pleased with what the fixture computer has come up with.
