Liverpool’s Opponents In The Champions League Round Of 16 Have Been Revealed

Liverpool will play Bundesliga side RB Leipzig in the last 16 of the Champions League following the draw this morning.

The German club qualified for the knockout stages after beating Manchester United in the final group game to finish ahead of the Red Devils in the table. Julian Nagelsmann’s side will be a major test for the Reds, considering their expansive style of play and fearless approach to the game.

With the first leg taking place on February 16th or 17th next year, and the second legs being played on either March 9th or 10th, it will be hoped that manager Jurgen Klopp has a few more options to choose from in his squad by then.

Following the draw against Fulham yesterday, Liverpool currently have nine players on the treatment table, and no available senior centre-backs after Joel Matip had to be substituted at Craven Cottage due to a back injury.
