Mo Salah Sends Message To Fans Amid Reports That He Is “Not Happy” At Liverpool

Liverpool forward Mo Salah has tweeted a photo of himself smiling, following claims from a former Egyptian international teammate that he is “not happy” at the Reds:

Mohamed Aboutrika says there are a number of reasons why Salah is now unsettled on Merseyside, including the fact that he was snubbed for the captaincy during a recent game against FC Midtjylland:

“I called Salah about his situation at Liverpool and he is upset, but that would never affect his performance on the field. I know that Salah is not happy in Liverpool, he told me the reasons why he is not happy but they are secrets and I cannot talk about it in public. One of the reasons that made Salah angry was that he was not the captain against Midtjylland.”

However, Salah seems to have responded to those quotes with his latest social media post, although his failure to make any comment so far means he has still not entirely refuted the comments made by Aboutrika.

Salah was interviewed by a Spanish newspaper last week, where he didn’t rule out a move to La Liga. Aboutrika has also asserted that Liverpool would sell the forward to Barcelona or Real Madrid for the right price.

At 28 years of age, the Reds may consider selling Salah at some point in the next few years and we shall have to wait and see how this story develops.
