Liverpool are hoping to get £40m from the sale of Marko Grujic and Harry Wilson this summer, according to reports in the English media.
It was thought that due to the financial impact of the global health crisis, the Reds may well consider offloading the players on loan for another season.
Grujic spent last campaign in Germany with Hertha Berlin, while Wilson had a moderately successful year with Bournemouth. However, it seems the Merseyside club now want to raise funds from the sale of both players. Supporters on Twitter are generally behind selling the pair, although they doubt whether Liverpool will get the amount they are looking for:
Good, neither are good enough let’s cash in and get some proper signings in

£40mn? Bit ambitious. £30-35mn is more realistic

If Xherdan Shaqiri does stay, as the Swiss international suggested earlier this week, then the departure of Wilson on a permanent basis looks increasingly likely. The Wales international is unlikely to get game time next season and, with a number of potential suitors, it may be best to cash in.
It’s the same situation with Grujic. The Reds already have seven central midfielders and the Serbian won’t get many opportunities to impress if he stays.
