Former Liverpool midfielder Momo Sissoko is predicting that Sadio Mane will be heading to Real Madrid at the end of the season.

The Senegalese international has been linked with a move to the Bernabeu, in addition to Mohamed Salah, but Sissoko believes Mane would be a better fit for Real than his teammate:

“No, I see Sadio Mane more. Because he possesses the characteristics that Zidane wants. He values him very much; I think Sadio Mane will go to Real Madrid.”

They are surprising comments from Sissoko considering he spent three years at Anfield. Liverpool are reigning European champions, and you can’t see a reason why Mane would want to leave, but Real’s reputation has always preceded them when it comes to signing players.

Zidane is said to be a fan of the Liverpool star, but it remains to be seen whether a charm offensive from his club will be enough to persuade Mane into leaving.

Whatever the case, the Reds will fight tooth and nail to keep one of their key players who has been instrumental in the Merseyside club’s success in recent years.
