Jose Enrique Backs Liverpool To Fight It Out With Chelsea And Arsenal For 25M Rated Ivorian Ace

Ex-Liverpool defender Jose Enrique believes his former club should consider making a late window bid for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.

The Ivorian international has less than a year left on his contract at Selhurst Park and, with reports suggesting he could be available for around £25m to £30m, Enrique feels he would be a cost-effective way of adding depth to the Reds’ frontline:

With Chelsea and (potentially) Arsenal also said to be interested in Zaha, Liverpool will be competing with other ‘Big Six’ clubs if they do go after the winger, so that may put them off from making an approach.

It also doesn’t seem as though the Merseyside club are in the market for a forward. Manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed they are actively looking at improving their midfield options, but it would be a shock if a second player also came in through the door before the transfer deadline on Thursday.
