“In That Order…” Sergio Aguero Names Ex Liverpool Star In His Top 3 Strikers Of All Time

Premier League legend Sergio Aguero has named former Liverpool forward Luis Suarez as the third-best striker in history.

When asked for his top three on a live Twitch stream, Aguero went with Ronaldo Nazario, Arsenal legend Thierry Henry and Suarez:

Of course, it is only Aguero’s opinion, and there are plenty of other names he could have gone with, including the likes of Pele and Cristiano Ronaldo who could have easily made the list, but it is still great to hear that he holds Suarez in such high regard.

Some Liverpool fans have a love/hate relationship with the Uruguayan

While the forward had a phenomenal record during his time at Anfield, scoring 82 goals and providing 46 assists in 133 appearances, he did try to force through a move away from Merseyside.

After Arsenal made an offer in 2013, Suarez had to be persuaded into staying by captain Steven Gerrard. He then eventually left for Barcelona twelve months later.

The Uruguayan has since returned to Liverpool to face the Reds on a number of occasions, playing for opposing teams, and his antics were not always well received by the crowd. Most supporters, though, simply appreciate all the fantastic moments he provided with his incredible individual skill and talent.

Comparisons to Salah

There will be arguments long into the night about which Liverpool forward is the greatest of the Premier League era. Some may go with Robbie Fowler or perhaps Fernando Torres, but the debate usually boils down to either Suarez or Mo Salah.

Both, at their best, were very difficult to stop but, if we simply look at the numbers, the Uruguayan would just come out on top, averaging a goal or assist every 1.04 matches to Salah’s 1.15.
