Liverpool Star Being Pursued By Seven Teams As Club Slap 20m Price Tag On Player

Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic has seven clubs interested in signing him, according to Goal‘s Liverpool correspondent Neil Jones.

The Serbian spent last season out on loan at Hertha Berlin but the Bundesliga club are only keen on another loan spell, with an obligation to buy next summer.

However, Grujic is also being watched by Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, Atalanta, Werder Bremen, Borussia Monchengladbach and Eintracht Frankfurt, and the Reds believe there is a possibility of selling him on a permanent basis before the transfer window closes.

Currently, sporting director Michael Edwards values the 24-year-old at £20m but it remains to be seen whether any club will come close to tabling a bid in the same ballpark.

Teams are tightening their pursestrings due to the financial impact of the global health crisis and it will be interesting to see if Liverpool can offload Grujic for a decent amount. His sale may then have a knock-on effect in terms of potential purchases.
